Angela Thyer, M.D. is one of the founding partners of Seattle Reproductive Medicine. Prior to this she enjoyed a successful career in academic medicine at the University of Washington Fertility and Endocrine Center. In addition to being a highly skilled clinician in all areas of infertility medicine, Dr. Thyer is a well regarded expert in Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.

Dr. Thyer performs reproductive surgery including laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, and tubal reversals. As the Medical Director of the donor egg program at SRM, she has helped to expand the program both regionally and nationally by expanding the number and diversity of available donors and reducing the wait time to initiate a treatment cycle.

Alternative medicine is an area of both clinical and research interest for Dr. Thyer. She takes a holistic approach to her patients and enjoys incorporating alternative medicine as a complement to traditional Western medicine. Additional areas of both clinical and research focus include reproductive aging, polycystic ovarian syndrome and fertility preservation.

Dr. Thyer graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Oregon Health Sciences University, and her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Texas, San Antonio.  She has received The Award for Excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the Cincinnati OBGYN Society, The Gynecologic Laparoscopy Award from the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopist, and The Resident Research Award from the Oregon ACOG and OHSU Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  She is board-certified in both OB-GYN and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
