David L. Rosenfeld, M.D. opened the first fertility and advanced endoscopy center on Long Island.  He has been the Chief of the Center of Human Reproduction at North Shore-LIJ Health System in Manhasset, NY since 1976.   

Dr. Rosenfeld has helped bring more than 20,000 babies into being!  He is accomplished in reproductive surgery and has performed thousands of operative procedures to treat infertility issues such as fibroids, scar tissue, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and uterine abnormalities.  He has brought many innovative surgical techniques to Long Island, including: operative hysteroscopy, treatment of ectopic pregnancy, operative laparoscopy, laser surgery, tubal reconstructive surgery, and the treatment of endometriosis.

In addition to Dr. Rosenfeld’s work at the Center for Human Reproduction he has authored numerous publications on fertility and holds academic appointments.  Dr. Rosenfeld recently served as President of the New York Obstetrical Society and is an active member of numerous professional and scientific societies. 

Dr. Rosenfeld completed his undergraduate training at Princeton University and was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Vienna. He received his Medical Degree and postgraduate training at the University of Pennsylvania, and was among the first doctors in America to be certified as a specialist in reproductive medicine.
