After graduating from Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Conway was awarded a grant to pursue research at the National Institutes of Health, and went on to earn her M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh.  During her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at New York University, she won numerous medical student teaching awards and the Berlex Foundation Resident Teaching Award.  With growing interest in teaching as well as Reproductive Medicine, she went on to complete a three-year fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the UCLA Medical Center and Cedars Sinai Medical Center.  She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Conway’s main research has focused on how embryonic stem cells and early embryos repair DNA damage, in order to better understand the safety of stem cell use in regenerative medicine.  For this work, she was awarded the Endocrine Fellow Foundation Research Grant and the Society for Gynecologic Investigation Prize Abstract Award for fetal research.  She has also published several articles evaluating whether there are differences in early growth, placental location, or genetic abnormalities between spontaneously conceived pregnancies and those conceived through assisted reproduction.  She has presented her research at numerous national and international meetings, for which she received the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society Scholarship Award.

She has written several book chapters on her other areas of interest, such as the diagnosis and treatment of diminished ovarian reserve, early embryo development, and treatment of ectopic pregnancy.  In addition, Dr. Conway is involved with international healthcare, and has been on several volunteer medical missions to both Africa and India.
