Q & A with Dr. Jacobs:

What do you like most about what you do?

I love solving complex challenging fertility problems and then ultimately fulfilling a couple's dream of having a baby.

In practice what are you most proud of?

For the past 15 years, being named and honored yearly by Castle Connelly, as one of  'America's Top Doctors' in my field.  This honors the top 1% of Reproductive Endocrinologists nationwide, as voted on by thousands of doctors and nurses.

Why did you choose to work in the field of reproductive medicine?

I chose this field after struggling with personal infertility.

What do you consider your “special areas of interest” in reproductive medicine and why?

1. Couples who come to me after failing IVF previously.  Very challenging and an opportunity to use innovative ideas and methods to improve success.  2. PCOS and obesity problems as they impact fertility.  Treating PCOS and improving lifestyle issues allows many women to successfully achieve a pregnancy and improve their health.  I have battled obesity problems my entire life, and empathize with those who need help.

What is your approach to medicine?

As a fertility doctor, I am committed to developing a healthy partnership and relationship with each of my patients.

Share something unique that most people don’t know about you.

Addicted to ‘Cookies & Cream’ Ice Cream! I have also been called a “Big Teddy Bear.”

What do you do for fun in your spare time?

I like gardening, fishing and riding my Vintage Vespa scooter.
