Dr. Bohrer says he was always drawn to obstetrics and gynecology because of his fascination with pregnancy and delivery. During his residency, he was introduced to what was then the relatively new field of reproductive endocrinology, and became even more interested in the idea of helping the process from conception to reproduction.

The multifaceted nature of the specialty also drew him in. “It’s a great field because it encompasses so many areas,” he says. “It combines the medical aspect with endocrinology, genetics, and surgery.” What sets RMANJ apart, Dr. Bohrer says, is their focus on the patient. From creating a comfortable setting to scheduling morning ultrasounds for convenience, they take the patient’s needs into consideration with every decision. RMANJ physicians also make sure they are easily accessible to the couples they treat.

“We offer our patients many chances to interface with their doctor, such as during ultrasounds, which are performed by our physicians, not techs,” he says. “If they have a question, there is always an opportunity to ask us.” Dr. Bohrer says in order to offer the most successful outcomes for patients, the staff at RMANJ continually analyzes their own data, physicians, and pregnancy rates to find opportunities for improvement.  At times when finding a particular answer proves challenging, he adds, the collaborative environment at RMANJ is a tremendous advantage.

“We have the best minds in the field here,” he says. “When we are stumped, we can bring it out to the group and get a fresh perspective.” After dedicating nearly two decades to his specialty, Dr. Bohrer says the rewarding aspect never lessens.

Dr. Bohrer, a board certified Reproductive Endocrinologist, Obstetrician and Gynecologist, also serves as Clinical Associate Professor, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Bohrer graduated from the State of New York-Downstate Medical Center and performed his internship and residency at Johns Hopkins in Maryland. He completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at UMDNJ–Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he later served as director of the IVF Program and Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences prior to joining RMA.
