Scott J. Whitten, M.D. is a board certified sub specialist in Obstetrics, Gynecology, Reproductive Endocrinology, and Infertility.  He and his partner are the only specialists in Northern Nevada and he is the clinical director at the Nevada Center for Reproductive Medicine.

Dr.Whitten attended the University of Nevada-Reno for his undergraduate degree in Biology and then he matriculated to the University of Nevada School of Medicine for his Doctorate degree.

Dr. Whitten was selected to receive his training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.  During his four years of training, he was honored with two of the most prestigious awards given to residents.  He was then accepted as a faculty member at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.  Over his three years of subspecialty training, he again was the recipient of multiple teaching awards.  He has presented his research at many national meetings and has published his findings in highly respected journals.
