Steven J. Ory, M.D. is a well experienced physician with almost 30 years of academic and private practice experience. He is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is subspecialty certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Ory joined IVF Florida Reproductive Associates in 1995.  He completed his under graduate studies at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1972.  He attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and received his medical degree in 1976. 

Dr. Ory completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine in 1980 before going on to subspecialty training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. 

Following completion of his fellowship in 1982 he served as an Assistant Professor and Director of the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Clinics at the Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois, until 1985 when he returned to the Mayo Clinic and served as an Assistant Professor and Chairman of the Section of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility until 1995. 

Dr. Ory has over 28 years experience in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and he currently serves as Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Florida International University and Voluntary Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Miami.

Dr. Ory is a former President of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and serves on numerous committees and panels throughout the field of reproductive medicine.

Between 2007 and 2008, Dr. Ory was honored as the First Roger D. Kemper’s Lecturer, the Heskett Visiting Professor Lecturer, Columbia University Distinguished Lecturer, and the Liam Haim Memorial Lecturer, received the first Roger D. Kemper.

In addition to Assisted Reproductive Technologies, Doctor Ory has a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis, hormone replacement therapy, and ectopic pregnancy.  He is also a highly skilled surgeon and takes special interest in the treatment of fibroids.
