Dr. Valerie Baker received her medical degree from Harvard University. She completed residency in obstetrics and gynecology and fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of California, San Francisco in 1995. She served on the faculty at UCSF and at the University of Washington before joining Stanford. Dr. Baker is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Her clinical and research interests include stimulation protocols in assisted reproductive technology, factors affecting success with fertility treatment, and potential reproductive effects of environmental contaminants. She is actively involved in national efforts to improve the quality of information available to patients about outcomes from infertility treatment.
