Vanessa Weitzman, M.D. joined IVF Florida Reproductive Associates in October 2008 after completion of her subspecialty training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Connecticut Health Center, Center for Advanced Reproductive Sciences in Farmington, Connecticut. 

Dr. Weitzman completed her undergraduate studies at Boston University receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1996.  She entered the Boston University School of Medicine and received her medical degree in 2001.  She completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey, in 2005.  In 2008 she completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, Connecticut.  She is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine.

During her training, Dr. Weitzman received the International Health Fellowship Award in 2000, the Outstanding Service Award in 2000, the Milford and Barbara Nember Fellow Award in 2001, and Cervical Cancer Research Grant in 2001. 

Dr. Weitzman has experience in the treatment of infertility through in vitro fertilization, assessing and treating patients with diminished ovarian reserve and utilizing the latest advanced techniques in laparoscopic surgery.  She is also interested in the preservation of future fertility and oocyte cryopreservation for patients with breast cancer.  She has been involved in research involving factors affecting oocyte cryopreservation and in vitro maturation.
