Fertility specialists or reproductive endocrinologists (REs) are trained in diagnosing and treating infertility in both men and women. This highly-trained doctor specializes in helping women who cannot get pregnant even though they have tried for months without using birth control. The RE may also help if you are over 35 or have a history of ovulation dysfunction, PID, endometriosis, PCOS, blocked tubes and/or other pregnancy barriers. If your partner has male-factor infertility with low sperm count, a fertility specialist can also help.
